A Christian Fantasy Series Where Light Battles Shadow
Enjanan is a Christian fantasy series for teens and adults who love epic worlds, moral tension, and stories like Narnia — but with harder choices and higher costs.
Escape to a World Unlike Yours
You know the pressure. The whispers to compromise. The quick fixes that promise everything and cost more than you realise. The feeling that standing for what you believe makes you the problem.
What if there was a fantasy world where characters faced those same struggles – and didn’t always get it right? Somewhere you could escape to journey with others who face darkness every day and a sense that they were called to something bigger than themselves?
Welcome to Enjanan.
A World That Spins Around Eternal Light
In Enjanan, there’s no sun in the sky. Light comes from the Face – a brilliance so intense no one can look upon it. Most call it the Faceless One. Or simply, Fa-Cel: the Creator.
Long ago, the Enja people dwelt near Fa-Cel, but as the glare intensified, they could no longer endure such proximity. Their ancestors fled in great caravans, streaming outward like spokes from a wheel, until they found refuge where light does not sear flesh or blind the eye.
Had Fa-Cel left them to their own devices, they would have journeyed further into darkness and certainly perished. But the Creator showed mercy. He raised a colossal Stronghold and installed within it an immense mechanism that rotates the lands like a spinning top, ensuring every region receives both the light necessary for life and the darkness needed for comfort – spin by measured spin.
The Enja remain forever dependent upon the light that both sustains and threatens their existence.
The Threat
Then the mysterious Nahil arrive – beings larger and more powerful than the Enja, seducing the four kingdoms with promises of prosperity. They bring gifts. They offer solutions. They make the hard things seem simple. What they don’t mention is the chaos and darkness that follows.
Slowly, the Enja people are lured to reject the light forever and embrace the shadows.
Meet Shay
Shay has always felt invisible – the dependable son who never expected to matter, constantly overshadowed by his brilliant siblings. The kind of invisible that makes you wonder if your faith or choices even matter.
But when his formidable sister falls victim to the Nahil’s schemes, it’s time for his dormant gifts to awaken, his faith to be tested and for him to discover his true purpose.
Will Shay embrace the light, or lose everyone he loves to the shadows?
Fantasy for Readers Who Take Faith Seriously — and Struggle Anyway
This is Christian fantasy that doesn’t pretend faith makes life easier. Characters wrestle with temptation, addiction, broken relationships, and the cost of being different. Sometimes they fail. But grace breaks through even the deepest shadows.

About the Author
Natasha Woodcraft is a mother of four boys wrestling with what it means to write light into dark places. She created The Stronghold of Enjanan because she couldn’t find allegorical fantasy series that gave teenagers space to see their real struggles reflected – the temptations, the doubts, the pressure to conform – through characters discovering that grace doesn’t depend on getting everything right.
The Stronghold of Enjanan is a Christian fantasy series for teens and adults who love symbolic, faith-driven stories like Narnia, but want something deeper and more challenging.
