and the earth under our feet."
About Me
I’m Natasha Woodcraft and I live in a slightly crumbling old farmhouse in Lincolnshire, UK, with my husband, Ben, my 4 sons, and a small menagerie of animals.
I have been a follower of Jesus for as long as I can recall. There was never a time when I rejected the good news, but it was much later I learnt to listen to God.
Many moons ago, I studied theology at university. I had a thought I might re-write classic theological works into modern language but it seems that wasn’t what God had in mind.
I have always been very active within church, yet it was a period of inactivity, where I was forced to sit at Jesus’ feet and admit my weaknesses, that taught me most about my Saviour. That was when I began writing songs, and the things I learnt during that time I’ve later woven into my stories.
Stories? Yes, despite my intentions about being a non-fiction writer, the first idea God gave me was for a series of Biblical fiction novels. I had some serious brain fog after having 4 kids, and found I could engage with stories better than with non-fiction. Turns out I could write them better too! I now believe passionately that stories have power to communicate deep truth and transform lives.
